Global Education Resources
For a quick introduction to global education, start with my Google Presentation. Are you ready to learn more? Here are other resources and readings to help guide your way. If you have other resources to share, or any questions, please feel free to contact me.
"The Global Education Toolkit," written by Homa Sabet Tavenger and Becky Mladec-Morales is an excellent first-stop resource for teachers interested in teaching global education. The book is filled with clever, practical, economical and, most importantly, non-labor intensive ways to infuse increasingly-important global competency skills with the realities of preparing students for standarized tests.

The Global Education Conference Network, an online community dedicated to globally connected teaching and learning, offers free online professional development via web conferences. Past presentations and global collaboration projects are archived on the site, providing a vast array of resource materials for educators seeking to globalize their content.
The Global Oneness Project provides multicultural films, photography and articles on an as-free platform that can be used for educational purposes. Each resource comes with customized lesson plans to help teachers use that source in their classrooms. You can browse by national standards, subject, and/or media type. The videos are excellent.

The Sustainable Development Goals, a set of 17 goals adopted by the countries in the UN in 2015 seeking to end poverty, reduce inequality, and tackle climate change, offer many opportunities for teachers to actively involve students in not only learning about but to take action on global issues. The Teach SDGs website offers resources for connecting with other teachers on global projects around the world.
